Brand Identity Design in Riyadh: How We Work

When Saudi Brands Need Branding or a Rebrand

Most businesses come to us at one of three moments: before a launch, when they move into a new market, or when the brand no longer matches the business. A café that has opened a second branch, a company that has grown from one service to several, a product heading to retail shelves: each one needs a brand that is clear and consistent everywhere it appears. As a branding agency in Riyadh working with Saudi brands and companies across the region, we start by asking what has changed and what the brand needs to do next. Sometimes the answer is a full identity from scratch. Sometimes it is a refresh that keeps what customers already recognise and fixes what holds the brand back.

Our Brand Identity Design Process

Brand identity design at Karaz follows clear stages, and each one is signed off before the next begins. This keeps decisions on record and avoids going back over ground that has already been agreed.

  • Positioning. We look at your market, competitors and customers, then agree with you on what the brand stands for, who it speaks to and how it should sound.
  • Naming in Arabic and English. When a new name is needed, we develop options that work in both languages, are easy to say and read, and suit the market you are entering.
  • Identity system. Logo design, colour palette, typography, patterns, photography style and tone of voice, designed as one system rather than separate pieces.
  • Guidelines. A clear guide that shows your team, printers and other suppliers how to use the brand correctly, with examples of what to do and what to avoid.
  • Rollout. We apply the identity to the items you use every day, from social media templates to stationery, uniforms and signage.

Logo Design for Arabic and Latin Together

For Saudi brands, a logo rarely lives in one script. It sits on an Arabic storefront, an English website, a bilingual menu and an Instagram profile, often side by side. We design the Arabic and Latin versions together from the start, so they share proportions, weight and character instead of one being an afterthought. Our logo design work checks how each version reads at small sizes, in one colour, on screen and in print, and in both right to left and left to right layouts. The same thinking applies to typefaces, so your Arabic and English text feel like they belong to the same brand and not to two different companies.

Campaigns, Key Visuals and Packaging Design

A brand identity is the base. Campaigns are where it meets customers. We create campaign concepts and key visuals that stay true to the identity while giving each launch or season its own idea. Our Hello, Honey campaign for EspressoLab is one example of a single concept carried across several touchpoints.

We also design the material a business uses every day: menus, company profiles, catalogues, signage, outdoor and exhibition graphics. Packaging design gets particular care, because the pack is often the first thing a customer holds. We think about shelf presence, legibility in both languages, the information that must appear on the pack, and how the design works across a range of sizes, flavours or product lines. Artwork is prepared so your printer or manufacturer can produce it without guesswork.

How Branding Connects to Your Website and Social Content

A brand only works if it looks and sounds the same wherever people meet it. Because our in-house team also builds websites and runs social accounts, the identity carries straight through instead of being reinterpreted by someone else. Our Tech & AI team turns the guidelines into a bilingual website, and our Social Media & Content team builds post templates, Reels styles and a content tone from the same system.

Some recent work:

  • Afifi Industrial Group: a corporate identity and a website built from it.
  • Lasoman: a brand identity followed by a website in the same visual language.
  • RAF Space: branding and a website for an interior design company in Riyadh.

Starting With a Branding Agency in Riyadh

At the end of a branding project you receive the final approved files: logo versions in Arabic and English, in full colour and one colour, in formats for print and screen, along with colour codes, typography details and the brand guidelines document. Any applications we designed, such as templates, stationery or packaging artwork, are handed over ready for use or production.

Starting is simple. Tell us about your business, where it is now and what you want the brand to do. After a short call we send a clear written proposal that sets out the scope, the stages and the timeline. As a branding agency in Riyadh with a creative office in Amman, we work as one team from the first idea to the final file, whether you need a new identity, a refresh or packaging design for a product launch.

Branding Questions

Short answers to what clients ask us most.

Another question? Ask us
01How much does branding cost?

The cost depends on the scope. A logo refresh for an existing business is a very different project from a full identity with naming, guidelines, packaging and signage. After a short call to understand your business and what you need, we send a clear written proposal that lists every deliverable, stage and cost, so you can compare and decide with no surprises later.

02How long does a brand identity take?

It depends on the scope and on how quickly feedback and approvals move on your side. A focused logo and identity project is shorter than one that also includes naming, packaging and a full rollout. We set out the stages and the timeline in the proposal before work starts, and we keep you updated at each sign-off point along the way.

03How many logo options and revisions do I get?

We do not apply one fixed formula to every project. The number of initial design routes and revision rounds is agreed in the proposal, based on the scope. In practice we prefer a few well-argued directions grounded in the positioning over a long list of quick sketches, then we refine the route you choose with you within the agreed rounds until it is ready for approval.

04Do you design in Arabic and English?

Yes. Bilingual work is part of every branding project we do. We design the Arabic and Latin versions of the logo together, choose typefaces that pair well, and check layouts in both right to left and left to right. Naming, taglines and brand copy can also be developed in both languages, so the brand sounds natural to each audience.

05Do I own the final files and rights?

On completion you receive the final approved files for your brand, including logo versions, colour and typography details, guidelines and any applications we designed. Ownership and usage terms are written clearly into the proposal and agreement before work begins, so you know exactly what is handed over to you and when. If you have specific legal requirements, tell us early and we include them.

06Can you refresh an existing brand instead of starting over?

Yes. Many businesses do not need a new brand: they need the current one to work harder. We review what you already have, keep the elements customers recognise, and fix what holds the brand back, such as an unclear logo, inconsistent colours or a weak pairing between Arabic and English. The result is a refreshed identity with updated guidelines, without losing the recognition you have built.
